Lattice Installation | Cap & Divider Molding Installation | Important Things to Remember

TUFF-BILT Lattice Installation

1. Pre-drill oversized holes and do not tighten all the way to allow for expansion/contraction

2. Hang the lattice to install. Hang the lattice with a support every two feet. Attach sides and bottom loosely. (Do not tighten all the way.)

3. If using more than one panel, do not butt panels together. Leave a 1/4" gap (6,35 mm) to allow for expansion/contraction.

Installation with Cap and Divider Moldings

1. Pre-drill oversized holes and do not tighten all the way to allow for expansion/contraction.

2. Along the top drill and fasten every two feet (61 cm). Drill holes and hang through both molding and lattice.

3. Along the sides and bottom, drill holes and put screws through the molding only.

4. Allow a 1/4" gap (6,35 mm) on all sides of panel for expansion with Cap and Divider Moldings.

Use Classic moldings with Classic lattice.

TUFF-BILT Trellis Installation

Pre-drill a hole slightly larger than the screw to be used. Place Trellis Spacer between support wall and Trellis. Screw to support wall.

Important Things to Remember

Under decks, install wooden blocks or stakes as support points if none are available.

If the lattice bows, loosen attaching screws, make sure you've allowed enough gap for expansion and reattach.

Place fasteners 24" (61 cm) apart.
